Kerala Backwaters
Drift through a green world of palms and paddy fields
Kerala · LuxuryDemo
Fort Kochi, the tea hills of Munnar, a private houseboat night and a beachfront finale — Kerala at an unhurried, luxurious pace.
Overview
Kerala Luxury Escape weaves together the state's most rewarding landscapes with a stay at handpicked boutique and luxury properties. A private car and driver take you from the colonial lanes of Fort Kochi into the misty hills of Munnar, down to the backwaters and finally to the coast.
A premium private houseboat with an air-conditioned bedroom, sundeck and on-board chef carries you through village canals for a night on the water — dinner of fresh Kerala cuisine under the stars and a slow sunrise over the paddy fields.
The final two nights at a beach resort leave room for Ayurvedic treatments, cycling through fishing villages or simply doing very little.
Meet your driver at Kochi airport and transfer to a boutique heritage hotel in Fort Kochi. In the evening, watch the Chinese fishing nets at sunset and attend a Kathakali performance.
Take a guided morning walk through Fort Kochi's churches, Dutch Palace and Jew Town, then drive into the Western Ghats to Munnar, passing waterfalls and spice gardens.
Explore the tea estates, visit the tea museum and enjoy viewpoints across rolling plantations. The afternoon is free for a guided walk or time at the resort.
Descend to Alleppey and board your private premium houseboat around midday. Cruise through village canals and paddy fields with lunch, evening tea and dinner prepared by the on-board chef.
Wake to sunrise on the water and enjoy breakfast on deck before disembarking. A short drive takes you to a beachfront resort at Marari for an afternoon of rest.
A day to slow down: an Ayurvedic massage, a cycle through fishing villages or long walks on a quiet beach.
After breakfast, transfer to Kochi airport (around 90 minutes) for your flight home.
